Keeping Myself Busy

Since I am no longer working, I have started to come to terms with it. I have lived in my home for more than a year and I still have not decorated, so I will do that now. My boyfriend isn't really into the idea of decorating, but I have never gotten to decorate a room before. My first apartment, I was so poor that I was lying on a futon mattress on the floor. I finally have my own home, I want to make it my own.

I'm super picky about artwork, so I don't think I will be buying any pictures from the store, they don't speak to me. As a result, I have drawn up a few things that I will be framing, Dollar Tree has a great selection of frames. I am not really religious, but I love religious practices. I went to a Catholic school, I'm pretty sure that I was the only girl in my class that loved Theology class; shout out to Ms. Kulas! I chose the Buddha for what it represents, peace and attaining complete freedom, I have it at the door with the beautiful picture of the goddess pictured second. I am so drawn to this drawing, she's so strong looking and so confident, her eyes look into your soul. The last picture is of my collectible Walking Dead action figures, I love The Walking Dead!

The goddess drawing is pretty much my muses right now, I'm going towards that color palette. I drew a few things up, specifically a white evil eye. I have read that the white evil eye signifies wealth, we could really use it. The only thing about decorating right now is that I have a little person who likes to play with everything, but I'm trying to get him acclimated to decorative things being off limits. I will keep you all up-to-date on my progress, but I have another project coming up pretty soon! Hint: Halloween
